Adolescent Resilience andEmpowerment Programme
Strengthening resilience, wellbeing, and agency for adolescent girls to thrive
AREP strengthens adolescents' resilience, wellbeing, and agency through integrated social and emotional learning (SEL), SRHR education, and gender-responsive learning environments. We generate evidence and strengthen systems to scale what works, enabling young people, especially girls, to thrive and make informed life decisions. AREP is delivered through two programmes: RSEL and REASEL.
Resilience and Social and Emotional Learning (RSEL)
RSEL strengthens resilience, mental wellbeing, and social and emotional learning among young adolescent girls aged 10-14, supporting informed SRHR decision-making and positive life outcomes.
The programme is implemented with technical support from the World Health Organisation (WHO).
Empowered Adolescents through Social and Emotional Learning (REASEL)
REASEL strengthens adolescent girls' agency, mental wellbeing, leadership, and social and emotional skills, enabling them to make informed SRHR decisions, stay in school, and transition successfully into adulthood.
