As adolescents navigate the challenges of growing up, they face immense pressure from various angles – parents, peers, and internal struggles. This critical phase demands guidance, especially for vulnerable youth in rural areas. Outdated societal beliefs and myths surrounding bodily changes and emotional development can hinder educational focus.
To address these concerns, we designed a comprehensive Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) training for secondary school students. Our mission: equip over 1,000 learners with essential knowledge and skills to overcome adolescent challenges, boost self-esteem, and foster self-awareness.
During our interactive sessions, students openly shared their experiences and challenges when separated by gender. Our expert facilitators, like Ms. Wendo Jean Mary, provided personalized guidance on managing bodily and emotional changes, staying in school, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Training Objectives:
1. Enhance self-awareness and self-acceptance.
2. Improve personal hygiene and sanitation for better SRH.
3. Educate on STIs, HIV/AIDS transmission, prevention, treatment, and care.
4. Encourage open discussions and query resolution.
